What is Lawperate?
Lawperate is a free online directory of lawyers in Jamaica. You can search for lawyers by name or specialty, read reviews left by real clients, and send a message directly to a lawyer — all in one place.
How do I find a lawyer?
Use the search bar on the homepage or the Lawyers page. You can search by name or specialty. Results show ratings and review counts so you can compare at a glance.
Is it free to use?
Yes. Searching for lawyers, reading reviews, and sending inquiries are completely free for anyone visiting the site.
Are the reviews from real clients?
Reviews are submitted by registered users. We require email verification before an account can leave a review, and our team reviews flagged content. If you see a review that seems fake or inappropriate, use the Report button on the review.
Do I need to create an account?
You can browse and read profiles without an account. You only need to register if you want to leave a review or contact a lawyer through the site.
How do I contact a lawyer?
Visit the lawyer's profile page and fill out the inquiry form. Your message is sent directly to the lawyer's email address. You do not need an account to send an inquiry.
What does it mean when a profile is claimed?
A claimed profile means the lawyer has verified their identity and is actively managing their listing. Claimed profiles often include a photo, bio, specialties, and contact details. Unclaimed profiles contain basic public information only.

How do I claim my profile?
Create a free account, then visit your profile page and click "Claim this profile". Our team will review your request and approve it — you'll receive an email notification. Once approved, you can edit your bio, photo, specialties, and contact details.
Is it free for lawyers to list on Lawperate?
Yes. Creating and claiming a profile is free. All 2,900+ Jamaican lawyers admitted to the bar are already listed — you just need to claim yours.
How long does claim approval take?
We aim to review claim requests within 1–2 business days. You'll receive an email and in-app notification once your request is approved or if we need more information.
Can I respond to reviews left about me?
Yes. Once your profile is claimed and approved, you can post a professional reply to any review on your profile.
How do I see who viewed my profile?
Your lawyer dashboard shows profile view counts for the past 8 weeks, along with inquiry counts and review totals.
Reviews & content
How do I leave a review?
Register for a free account and verify your email. Then visit the lawyer's profile page and click "Write a review". Reviews include a star rating, a title, and a written account of your experience.
Can I edit or delete my review?
Reviews cannot be edited after submission to preserve integrity. If you believe your review was submitted in error, contact us at info@lawperate.com.
How do I report a review?
Use the Report button on any review. Our team will investigate and remove content that violates our community guidelines.

Where does the lawyer data come from?
The initial list of lawyers was sourced from the Jamaican Bar Association's public register. Lawyers can claim and update their own profiles to add additional information.
